Late Evening Spring Shoot w/Karoline

Well, it’s April and officially spring 🍃☀️🌸

For this one, I’m going a little back in time. Karoline and I were driving through the Norwegian countryside on our way home from a different shoot when we spotted these beautiful racks of fruit-flowers from the car. Since the sun was about to set, time was of the essence - so we pulled over, grabbed a light and my camera-gear and ran towards the fruit-trees 😅

Ideally, and if I had known we were about to “find” this beautiful location, I guess we would have chosen another dress over this “overly dramatic, yet kinda cute”-thing” for these images - but at this point we worked with what we had available.

In that respect, this ended up being more about capturing the atmosphere of a late spring evening, rather than about the style. Karoline is such a beauty though - so no matter what she wears, I always love seeing her face in my viewfinder.

Anyway, this was one of those almost “magical” late spring/early summer evenings - the smell of the fruit-flowers and the summer to come, the lights from the windows of distant farm houses and the sun barely peeking over the horizon. Oh, and the light was just mesmerizingly beautiful…

What’s your favorite memory of spring ?
