You Can Keep Your Hat On - Monochrome Moments w/ Martine-Aurora
A couple of weeks ago I got the chance to shoot with Martine-Aurora - we originally planned to do some outdoor looks, but the autumn-weather here in southern Norway started to kick in - so we decided to stay inside for this one π¨π
Martine-Aurora is something special, I always love to shoot with models that pay attention to their surroundings, the atmosphere and can sense where a shoot is going. It doesnβt have to be anything major or βbigβ - itβs just about being able to connect to a subtle but mutual sense of light, direction and mood - which in the end is what separates a good model from a great model. Martine-Aurora is definitely the latter.
As we were wrapping up the shoot to go out for a late dinner, Martine-Aurora found this oversized hat from The San Diego Hat Company and really wanted to do some images with it.
These images are just some straight-out-of-camera jpegs taken in b/w.
Makeup was done by Monika Jan π
We shot these in the late evening natural light from the window-side of my studio, and I felt they deserved a post of their own.
Fashion- or portrait-photography doesnβt have to be so complicated or technical, it just has to make you feel good.
Have great week, tuck yourself in and prepare for fall πβοΈ
