Urban Bohemian Style w / Dinah / EBModels

So, I wanted to go outside and do some sun-flavored fashion images of Dinah - but already from early morning, when the sky started to fill up with dark, thunderous and rainy clouds - it became pretty obvious we were not going to be able to shoot outside.

I was contemplating if I should simply switch looks and find a “more suitable” look for a studio-session and do some edgy, dramatic studio-images instead, but I ended up trying to re-create a little bit of the “summer-vibe” I initially wanted, in the studio. After a few minutes of piecing the little puzzle together, mainly choosing the right background color to go with the color of the oversized sunhat and the kind of “muted” colors of the jeans - I decided to go with this ocre/mustard-blend and use the black leather wing-back chair and red sunflowers as “contrast-makers”.

As for the clothing, I wanted to do a more casual and “rough” summer-look, but still keep a little bit of the bohemian-flavor I tend to gravitate towards when styling for outdoor-shoots during the hottest weeks of summer. I believe this look will work just as well on a festival, girls-night out on the beachwalk, a roof-top party or just hanging out with friends on a warm summer evening.

When I stumbled upon this wonderful oversized sunhat from The San Diego Hat Company this spring, I knew I wanted to use it to accessorize some of the summer-looks this summer - and I figured it would look fabulous with the rest of this outfit. The model is the “Shady Character Packable Wide Brim Hat”

The jeans is the “Just Float On Flare”, the top is the “Texas Sun Tunic” and the ankle boots the “Brayden Western Boots” - all from Free People. The gorgeous off-white silver buckled leather belt is from LeatherRock.

Dinah is such a little bundle of sunshine and she was the perfect model for this look - and as always, she looks simply fabulous.

So, just pick up some of these styles online or in your closet, discover your inner urban bohemian and go out and embrace these warm, sunny evenings while they last ☀️
